Hello everyone and welcome to the Real Food Stories podcast. I’m your host Heather Carey and I am so excited to share our stories around food and what food means to us from an emotional, physical, and spiritual level. Food has the power to bring us together as well as create a lot of confusion. I’m here to talk honestly about our stories and feelings around food and get straight on the science so you can feel great about what you eat. As a clinical nutritionist and health supportive chef, it has been my mission for the last 25 years to get women to realize the healthy healing effects of eating real food. You can tune in each week to hear real stories about how we were raised when it comes to diet, body image, and culture. We’re going to cover all the things about food that you may struggle with and hear from other women and experts to get their perspective on food. I believe that story is the way we form opinions, make declarations, and view the world. My own stories of growing up around food have profoundly affected who I was as a younger girl and who I am as a woman today. You will hear from others who share their stories too. Thank you so much for spending time with me today and I can’t wait to get started.
